  1. Two ranges for keyboard zones

Or the ability to exclude a zone from an instrument.

Sometimes I need a single instrument on the low notes and also on the high notes, with a different instrument in the middle range.

    • Solo/PreFader Listening single chains over dedicated hardware output

I'd love to have a solo button on each chain to listen to it. Perhaps there even could be a solo button on every plugin to listen to the signal flow including the plugin you click "solo". There should be a dedicated solo/headphone bus/output to listen to the soloed signal without affecting the main out. Would be very nice to see this in the near future.

      • WAV Player

Ideally a wave player linked into the Cue list so different cues can fire different audio files.
This would be useful for backing tracks etc.

Or on a more basic level, just a wave player so tracks can be played within the program. At present, I have to have media player running aswell.

Add a clock to the toolbar so the time is visible in live mode.

          • Midi filter improvement; Exceptions to the "All-feature"

when you select "edit", and then select "message number", and "all" it would be nice to include a section of "exceptions" to this "all" (maybe you want to exclude "all" of the program changes except programs 10 and 12 for example, or you could have a similar issue with controllers)

LP has midi clock to slave it to a DAW.
Could you have a vst LiveProfessor.dll that can be loaded in a DAW to send tempo/sync info to LP without Latency, similar to VSTHost Slavery Suite Legree.
This would also be useful for DAW's without midi like Adobe Audition, then being able to use drum and other VSTi like EZDrummer 2 that has a midi track for drum track creation playing along in perfect time to the audio tracks in the DAW.

                • "Are you sure?" prompt when updating global snapshots

It's too easy to accidentally write over the active snapshot instead of the selected snapshot.

A ctrl-z capability would work too.

                  • Connecting input to plugin; plugin to plugin, and plugin to output.

while routing independently left and right in/outs is the most flexible, in most cases it is not necessary. I think it would be nice to have an option to group left and right such that by connecting right out from a plugin to a right in on another, left is connected automatically. Additionally, right now, plugins can be connected from both outs or ins. I think it would be best to do it only on either outs or only on ins, as having the option to do it from both sides can generate confusion.

                      • Increase the buffer size

Increase the buffer size. I can still listen to some clipping and drop outs even after setting up the maximum buffer. Moreover no buffer allocation for different cores, you might wanna add that too.
Going back to Reaper, works perfectly.

                        • "lock out" function with a simple key command

So after soundcheck, you could lock the keyboard/LiveProfessor and fetch a cold one at the bar, without being afraid, someone is going to mess around with
your setup. This is a common feature on newer digital desks as well. It even prevents for strange things to happen, if something falls onto the keyboard (f.e. gaffer tape, talkback mic),
when you are on stage fixing something or just having a break during show sets.

Make it possible to organize the various functions of a midi controller in groups.
If the device has two layers each with 9 faders, 16 knobs and 64 buttons, the list in the edit hardware settings get really long.

                                    • ASIO devices enumeration / usage with Wine on Linux

LiveProfessor 1.0.2 does not identify any ASIO driver when run in Wine on Linux with WineASIO driver.
WineASIO is installed and registered as a "wine replacement library". This means it's no real file under the windows filesystem (OpenFile would fail) but LoadLibrary works correctly. Of course I don't know how you perform ASIO scan, but a quick tweak of the Asio SDK shows that LoadLibrary works correctly, while OpenFile does not.

                                      • Project parallel auto-save

As LP likes to hang or some plugins and behaviours it would be really nice to implement an autosave mechanism that is not overwriting the project, but just saves every given time in a recovery file. Then if LP hangs and you restart it, you are given a choice to restore your project from the last auto-save or last normal save state.

                                        • Uisng the Arrow Keys on Miksebord

Being able to control Miksebord using the arrow keys.

For live performance, being able to use the arrow keys allows you to move to the channel you want and then where there, to make minor adjustments to that channel. From my experience, it is much quicker and easier to use the arrow keys than using the mouse and the keys are readily acessible.
